Regions
Nirvana Cloud resources are deployed into specific regions. When creating resources such as VMs, VPCs, or NKS clusters, you select the region where they will run.

Choosing a Region
Section titled “Choosing a Region”Consider the following when selecting a region:
- Latency: Choose a region closest to your users or dependent services to minimize network latency.
- Connectivity: If using Nirvana Connect for private cross-cloud networking, verify that your target region supports the connection type you need.
- Data residency: Ensure the region meets any regulatory or compliance requirements for where your data must be stored.
Region and Resource Availability
Section titled “Region and Resource Availability”The region you select determines which resources are available:
- VPCs and Subnets: Only VPCs and subnets in the selected region can be used with your resources.
- Storage: Volumes are provisioned in the same region as the resource using Accelerated Block Storage (ABS).
- Instance Types: All instance types are available across supported regions.
- IP Addresses: See IP addresses for the IP ranges allocated to each region.
