Create an NKS Cluster

In this guide, you will learn how to create a Nirvana Kubernetes Service (NKS) cluster using the Nirvana dashboard.

1. In the sidebar, navigate to NKS → Clusters

2. Click Create Cluster

3. Fill in the form fields:
   • Name (required): A unique name for the cluster (e.g., production-cluster)
   • Region (required): Select the region where the cluster will be deployed
   • VPC (required): Select a VPC to host the cluster. Each cluster requires its own dedicated VPC — VPCs already in use by another cluster are not shown in the dropdown.
   • Tags (optional): Add metadata tags. Type a tag and press Enter to add it.

4. Click Create to provision the cluster

Note

You must create a VPC before creating a cluster. Each cluster requires a dedicated VPC that is not shared with other clusters. The cluster may take several minutes to provision and reach Ready status.
